Where to start?! Firstly, Please read this whole review and please consider these guys, they are the best in the bizz!! I would like to thank Christian and his son for potentially saving me from going into a depression – I don’t know where I would be now if it wasn’t for social media, because that is how I finally found this business, who turned out to improve my quality of life over night, after 3 long years of living with rats (that no other small business has been able to resolve) and probably 3 years of sleepless nights and anxiety ☹. I am based in North Wales, right on the coast, so miles away from where the business is located.
I bought and moved into my house in 2020 and after a few months, it was evident I was sharing a house with rats. They occupied the cavities in my kitchen walls, my bedroom walls, under the floorboards in my bathroom, the side extension roof where I WFH, and in the attic floorboards, which was my bedroom ceiling. It was disgusting, unbelievable, and pretty surreal. Previous controllers came out and set traps, but never really put any thought or action to determine how they were getting in, they would always leave us the task of finding out how they were getting in – not our expertise so we couldn’t put a stop to it, we aren’t qualified to climb or crawl, let alone spot common signs how they would be getting in, so we put up with it. We had to.
We caught many in traps in the loft space and in the office extension loft space that even myself have been brave enough to dispose of, but again, they kept coming and coming. I have been through hundreds of flies in the (habitable) attic space, to maggots falling through the office roof hatch into our living space, to my house stinking of dead rat for 2 weeks (on 2 separate occasions), 1 of which I was unable to get to as I believe it was trapped between my attic and my neighbours wall.
We have been throwing money away for almost 3 years for a problem no one wants to take the time to try and solve, I have been really unhappy at home, in this house, that I wanted to sell it. I have spent countless hours online looking at what else I could do, even the council wouldn’t help as they don’t ‘do’ pest control anymore.. rolleyes!!
One evening, I typed ‘rats’ into the search bar on Facebook which took me to a Public Group ‘How To Get Rid Of Rats’, and the most recent post was a linked Video to YouTube by Pest Interceptors – I watched it and couldn’t believe what I watched – a possible solution! But then I thought? Nah. Why them? No one-else has been able to sort us out! Anyway, I reached out to Christian on FB and he responded almost immediately – the following evening my partner and I had probably a 1 hour conversation with Chris on the phone to explain our horrendous situation and he was our last hope.
He was amazing. He had all the time in the world for us at this point, because ‘he gets it’! We decided to invite Chris and his son up to North Wales and to sort the issue out for us once and for all. They were here within the next few days, told me what they were going to do and got to work straight away. After a few hours of their investigations, they left me feeling more positive than I have ever felt about this horrendous situation that has probably aged me 20 years over 3 years! This new lease of life has been pretty over whelming for my partner and I because, we still lay in bed expecting to hear the usual scurry of rats running around above us but, that noise is no longer in our house and we are still adapting to it, because it went on for so long. We have been in touch with Chris throughout the last 6 months and he always gets back to us quickly with answers to any questions or queries we have. We have got Chris and his son for life with this cover should we ever have any further issue but, we lived with this every single day and every single night, we finally sleep soundly at night and we can finally start spending money on our house and look forward to our future here – THANK YOU GUYS! <3
